Message from UAMA Science Teacher, Ms. Brody

I would like to mention UAMA's Green Team Club's performance and recognition at the 2024 Climate Action Youth Summit on Governors Island.

NYC School Green Teams  at the Youth Climate Summit spent a day outside on Governors Island to build a network with climate focused organizations, learn about environmental justice in New York City, and hear from fellow high school students in the Youth Leadership Council.

The Green team has also been nominated by DOE Sustainability Hub Department for a grant of 2,400 dollars for the next year.

There were several teams competing against each other, from all NYC public schools including Bronx science, Bard early college, and Brooklyn Tech.

On June 12, 2024, the final decision will be made.
