STUDIO 10 & 11: INTENSIVE ARTS CLASSES

All 10th-11th graders take intensive arts courses (Studio 10 & 11), facilitated by practicing artists, twice a week for 1 hour each session. The Extended Studio faculty is comprised of professional artists who teach at UAMA through its various institutional partnerships. Studios culminate in performances and final projects and portfolios. Studios 10 & 11 also feature field trips and visits by guest artists to introduce students to arts careers.

Studio 10 & 11’s goals are as follows:

• Students are engaged in specialized art-making.
• Students are exposed to professional artists.
• Students create art individually and learn to articulate their process.
• Students collaborate on culminating work.
• Students are exposed to careers “out-in-the-field.”
