MENTORSHIPS
In pursuit of Urban Assembly’s mission of “a mentor for each student,” UAMA students are matched with mentors who offer friendship, encouragement, and advice. Special kick-off events, field trips, and closing parties in conjunction with mentorship programs strengthen bonds between mentor pairs. Mentors serve as positive role models and examples from the arts community. Through a current partnership with Big Brothers, Big Sisters Workplace Mentoring Program and Sony/BMG, UAMA students are matched with Sony employees as individual mentors. As a group, students and their mentors create collaborative arts projects.
