INTERNSHIPS

Internships are encouraged for all UAMA students, and intensive for-credit internships can be used to fulfill senior project requirements. Most occur in junior or senior year, yet some students arrange for internship experiences during the summer after their first year. UAMA matches interns primarily through Extended Studio partners; students have interned at Scratch DJ Academy, MoMA, and Dancing in the Streets, among other partner organizations. UAMA also partners with initiatives like Smack Mellon Gallery’s Art Ready program, which both prepare students for the professional world, and prepare professionals in creative industries to support high school interns.
